In my opinion and experience Gen Y are not selfish but self assured and I think they are very different. Us oldies find this self assured difficult to deal with and therefore label it selfish. They do want to get their needs met and they do put social life  before work life but is that selfish or just plain sense. It is what we should have been doing for ages.....

I always think that looking at the positives rather than negatives..if we think someone is selfish then they will be.  This is why I started my manifesto so we can start be positive about our youth.
